KATE FISHENDEN
Kate’s career spans artist-designer-thinker, held together by a continuous commitment to the craft of the illustrator, designer, typographer and printer, following her degree at St Martin’s School of Art in Graphic Design. She has worked at leading design consultancies including Design House and Coley Porter Bell as well as 5 years at BT as Head of Brand Expression.
At Starch Green, she designs and produces a number of products using Jonathan’s engravings, and is especially keen on developing kits and more fabrics and silk squares. She has extended the range of Jonathan’s work onto textiles, which she silkscreens, and into larger more colourful limited edition prints. She has also produced a number of limited edition screen prints using her love of nature, pattern and life as her inspiration. Kate is also frequently found painting portraits of flowers or still lives of curious packaging.
