Kate has had a lifelong passion for ceramics, having collected them since she was a girl. When we started Starch Green we were therefore determined to apply some of our designs to them.
We were fortunate to have a very old friend who ran a small ceramics studio who was happy to work with us to create new designs, in small quantities, and at modest prices.
We started with comet mugs in four different colours - eventually expanding to six, and soon introduced the extremely popular Kindness Jug. A little later we created the Tide Song range, as well as espresso cups and saucers.
Alas our friend retired recently, and we are now actively looking for a new collaborator. We have plans for lots of new designs - watch this space...
