Down on the Fowey estuary, Golant is a hidden gem of a village. A stroll every evening took Kate and Jonathan up the tunnel-like Water Lane, lush with Summer foliage. A collection was picked to draw back at the cottage: polypody, lords and ladies, male fern, black spleenwort, hart’s tongue fern and some bivalves from the beach
